Union Minister of State for Health Renuka Chowdhury awarding gold medal to Dr M B Prabhu in New Delhi recently.
Union Minister of State For Health and Family Welfare Renuka Chowdhury has awarded a gold medal to Goan acupuncturist Dr M B Prabhu in the 2nd World Congress on complimentary healing system held at Indian Medical Association Hall, New Delhi recently. This medal was presented to him for his distinguished work in the field of complimentary healing system and also for the dedicated services rendered to the ailing humanity.
Dr Prabhu also won the Dr B K Basu memorial award (late Dr Basu is the pioneer of India to go to China, to Jeam acupuncture) kept for the best research paper presentation and was honoured by Dr B K Singh from Canada and Mohan Aselvan.
Dr Prabhu presented the paper correcting wood element is most essential. He explained this on the basis of new concepts of five elements discovered by him. This paper and his explanation cleared lot of doubts which were there in practicing different systems of medicines.
In the year 1997-98 Dr Prabhu attended many conferences as special delegates and has given lectures on different research papers and won many more awards such as appreciation medal and best performance award at International Acupuncture Conference on 19th October at Aurangabad.
