The state Chief Minister, Mr Francisco Sardinha inaugurated the Sai acupuncture research centre, started by Dr M B Prabhu, at Margao, on January 29. The Power Minister, Mr Digamber Kamat was also present on the occasion.
The health centre catering to the needs of the patients with chronic diseases, is second of such institute established by Dr Prabhu. Mr Sardinha, speaking on the occasion said that the people have been spending lot of money on maintaining their health and this is a good trend for creating a healthy society. He also added that the state government have been providing all the necessary health related facilities for the people of the state.
The Chief Minister stressed on the need of having a hospital for the people who are taking shelter in hospitals situated at Belgaum, Bombay or other parts of India. Mr Sardinha also appealed the non-resident Goans to invest money for the development of Goa. Earlier Dr M B Prabhu welcomed the gathering.
